Data collected on this website is processed by Yiwu Xunshu Trading Co., Ltd., the company operating the SilkReach brand, based in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, China. For any question about your data, write to us at the address shown at the bottom of this page.
Data we collect
Through the contact form: name, email, phone, the product you are looking for and your message, plus, if you choose to provide them, company, quantity, target budget and attachments (up to 5 JPG, PNG, PDF or Excel files, 10 MB in total). If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the information you send there. Your IP address is used briefly to prevent abuse of the form; it is not kept with your request.
Purposes and legal bases
Your data is used to answer your request and prepare a sourcing proposal (steps taken at your request before a contract), then to carry out and follow up the assignment (performance of a contract). Protecting the form against abuse relies on our legitimate interest. Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
How your request is handled
The website does not store requests in a database: each request, attachments included, is sent by email to the SilkReach team's inbox, and a confirmation email is sent to the address you provided.
Recipients
Your data is accessible only to the SilkReach team and to the technical providers acting on our behalf: the website host, named in the legal notice, and our email provider. Details of your project (description, images, quantities) are shared with a supplier or freight forwarder only where needed to carry out your request, and limited to what is strictly necessary.
Transfers outside the European Union
As SilkReach is based in China, your data is processed there. China is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission; this transfer is necessary for the pre-contractual steps and the contract you request (Article 49 GDPR). Our technical providers may also be located outside the European Union: we choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Retention
A request that does not go further is kept for no more than 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted. Data linked to an assignment is kept for the duration of the business relationship, then for the period required by our legal, accounting and tax obligations. IP addresses used against abuse are erased after a few minutes.
Security
Traffic to and from the website is encrypted (HTTPS). The actual type of every attachment is checked before it is sent, and access to requests is limited to the SilkReach team.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, email us: we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France (www.cnil.fr).
Cookies
This website uses no analytics, no advertising cookies and no trackers. The only cookie, named "locale", remembers your language when you use the FR / EN switch; it is kept for 12 months and, being strictly necessary for that feature, does not require consent. Fonts are served from our own website, with no call to a third-party service. Links to WhatsApp and LinkedIn open those services, whose own privacy policies then apply. If an analytics tool is ever added, this policy will be updated and your consent will be asked for first.

This policy may change, in particular if new services are added to the website. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
